Tweets,

I worked my way from Alki to Auburn with a side trip on the ferry to
Southworth and back, with stops at Boeing Ponds and Emerald Downs.

By the way, Thursday noon I lucked out with two fly-by ANCIENT MURRELETS off
West Point. None from the ferry today, but ten PACIFIC LOONS off the north
end of Vashon Island, 19 BLACK TURNSTONES and 2 SURFBIRDS on the old jetty
at the south end of the beach south of the Alki Point light. Fair numbers of
BONAPARTE'S GULLS off Duwamish Head and on the ferry route plus one in the
field at 204th St.

Ran into Sandy Daniels in Auburn where we observed about 2500 (give or take
500) CACKLING GEES in the field west of Emerald Downs off M St., nearly all
minima, at least 10 with some degree of white necklace, plus at least one
slightly larger paler-breasted form that might have been either taverneri or
richardsoni. Also there, 35 WILSON'S SNIPES and 60 KILLDEER. A male EURASIAN
WIGEON was with a ton of dabblers in the fields along 204th St. in Kent. No
sign of the Great Egret at the Boeing Ponds.

A nice day.
