HI Tweeters,

I spotted my first Trumpeter Swan of the season off of Brady Loop Rd. in Grays Harbor County this afternoon.? If you drive down Brady Loop Rd. from Foster Rd. until it makes a 90 degree turn to the left, the swan was in a flooded section of the field on the left by itself.

Just a quick note that I've been seeing a family of W. Scrub-jays flying around for the past few weeks at the beginning of Griffin Peninsula, which is located in Thurston County just south of Mason County.? I've seen this species fairly regularly in West Olympia before, but never on the peninsula until now.? Also, I saw my first Griffin Peninsula Eurasian Collared-d ove on a telephone wire a couple of miles up the peninsula over an open field of grass earlier in the week.

Good birding,

Lonnie Somer
