Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday November 13. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

On November 12 a PYRRHULOXIA was seen in Peoria, on the east side of the
Willamette River south of Corvallis. A LITTLE BLUE HERON was seen November
11 in Neskowin, south of Pacific City. On November 10 a PARAKEET AUKLET was
reported passing off Boiler Bay.

Very heavy migrations continue along the coast, with many hundreds of BROWN
PELICANS and HEERMANN?S GULLS being reported.

Up to ten WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS are now coming to bird seed piles at
Millicoma Marsh near Coos Bay. There is now a SNOW BUNTING being seen on the
ocean side of the Bayocean Spit at Tillamook Bay. A ROCK SANDPIPER was on
the Barview Jetty November 8.

On November 7 a BRANT and 46 GREATER YELLOWLEGS were at Ridgefield NWR. A
RED-BREASTED MERGANSER along with COMMON, PACIFIC, and RED-THROATED LOONS
were seen on Sauvie Island November 6. A RED-BREASTED MERGANSER and a
BONAPARTE?S GULL were seen November 8 in Vernonia. On November 6 a
BONAPARTE?S GULL and six SURF SCOTERS were at the Fernhill Wetlands. Two
late BARN SWALLOWS were at Ankeny NWR November 10. On November 9 a ROSS?S
GOOSE was at Finley NWR.

A BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE was at The Dalles Dam November 9. Two were at
McNary Dam that day along with 16 Bonaparte?s Gulls, a RED-NECKED GREBE, and
a RED-BREASTED MERGANSER. On November 6, 25 BLACK-CROWNED ROSY-FINCHES were
on Grizzly Butte north of Prineville. Six RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS were on
Wickiup Reservoir November 9. On November 8 a GREEN HERON was at a small
pond in the desert north of Burns Junction.
