This afternoon there were at least 6 Barn Swallows chasing dinner behind the
Para Ponds outside Othello. Along the Potholes Canal near Long Lake, 4
Bonaparte's Gulls. A single Snow Goose among thousands of small Canada and
Cackling Geese near Soda Lake, and one Gr. White-fronted Goose at Royal Lake
(all Grant Co.) Three Lapland Longspurs flew over as I opened a gate on the
Adams-Grant County Line a mile north of Highway 26.
