Hi Tweets:
Roger Orness our local raptor expert just called. He saw the GOLDEN EAGLE from M
Street, and from the Interurban Trail that runs north and south in back of the M St
field. You can reach the trail by going to Emerald Downs, and parking in a big lot
by 29th. That is the cross st that is now flooded farther west.
Roger viewed the eagle at first around 9:30am, Fri, Nov 14. He saw it from M St, as
he was looking east toward Emer. Downs at a line of trees in back of the field. 3
Bald Eagles harrassed it a bit. Roger also saw the GO EAgle and a BA EAgle juv
perched in the field to the NW of the M St pond. They perched about 8 ft apart. He
said the golden hackles of the GOEA really stand out. He never saw the colors on the
tail of the eagle.
Thank you to Mark Vernon! I'm heading down there now.
Yours, Carol Schulz
