11-14-08, Time 1200-1600, Tide high incoming to high out going, swell 2
feet, SE wind 0-5 mph, cloudy skies. Temp. 47 degrees
This is not a full report of my sightings on 11-14. The usual cast of
characters were present. There were to others at Point Wilson that got the
chance to see the Yellow-billed Loon, it's the same one seen on 11-13. I am
glad that the two others had that opportunity, a first for both of them. I
know that two days does not establish a pattern of behavior but the time the
YBL was seen on 11-13 was 13:23 and on 11-14 was 13:17. The YBL was moving
from east to west in Admiralty Inlet at a distance of 200 yards from the
point. I will be at Point Wilson on 11-15 between 12:00 and 16:00 hoping to
see the YBL once more. I will never have my best image and won't live long
enough to acquire it, life is just too short.
