Hello Tweeters
Vicki Biltz an I birdied on Thursday the day after the Big Storm hit
Washington. The weather was great warm with little wind and no rain all day.I
mention this right from the beginning."The Point Brow Jetty " was completely
deserted, there was not even ONE GULL to see, there was some people looking at
the Big waves who was coming over the jetty, but looking way out there was
NOTHING.This is the first time that I saw this place so deserted, and the
weather was great.Since we was already on the beach,I wanted to show Vicki
the outer beaches where in the fall we always had many Shorebirds. But we
could only staying on the edge to the beach .The whole beach was covert with
a foamy bubble, you would not dare step in to.As we watching the beach and
the moving bubbles a flock of 30 birds flying over the beach grass,at one
point I saw the coloration of a Lapland Longspur. This birds never settled
and went fort and back and than suppose to settling in the tall grass. This
was our Best birds of the day. This was the Driftwood exit.We also had few
House Finches on our stay there.

Now I start from the beginning..Ii was as early as 7.15 when Vicki saw 2

where there was 52 Buffleheads and 33 Dunlin.

of Shorebirds flying over the Road,Vicki got out and ID the birds as being 5
Killdeer, what we added to our list.I got good practice for my CBC to count
every bird.We both had a great day with surprises on the outer beaches with
all the beach full of foam from the Ocean.
