Hi All,

I just wanted to add one species to the shorebirds that Lonnie listed at
Point Hudson - a ROCK SANDPIPER. George Gerdts and I viewed it at
about noon from my boat.

We traveled from Bainbridge Island (2 ROCK SANDPIPERS on Blakely Rock)
up the central Puget Sound through Admiralty Inlet to a bit beyond Point
Wilson. The calm conditions were terrific for viewing and traveling. The
Midchannel Bank area between Marrastone Point and Point Wilson was the
most "birdy" spot on our route. ANCIENT MURRELETS were the highlight
with point blank looks and listening to them vocalize. We estimated
about 500 total. Marbled Murrelets, Rhinos, Common Murres, and Pigeon
Guillemots were also present.

We also had 4 total CLARK'S GREBES in different flocks of Westerns on
the east side of Bainbridge Island.

It was a good boat ride.

Cheers and good birding,
Brad Waggoner
