Tweets, Saturday I explored the Nisqually delta on hovercraft. Best bird was
a WILLET that looked a bit like a giant Dunlin in that the bill was
slightly downcurved toward the tip (perhaps last 1/4 of length). It showed
some remnant of breeding plumage in underparts. Interesting. Also:
- Merlin (1)
- Peregrine (1, possibly 2), chasing adult eagle, very active
- Bald Eagle (1 pair, possibly 2)
- Eur Wigeon, male (among 2.5? thousand Americans)
- 6 gull spp
