Subject: [Tweeters] Tennessee Warbler, Elwha River Mouth

Hello All,
Brad Waggoner, Steve Mlodinow and I birded Clallam County today. We started
out in Dungeness at the Three Crabs area, where highlights were 3 Marbled
Godwits, 12 Ancient Murrelets, 19 Eurasian Collared-Doves.
After a few fairly uneventful stops we arrived at the east access to the
Elwha River Mouth area at about 2PM. This is an incredible habitat for
passerines. The roughly 25 acres that we thoroughly covered produced 125
Ruby-crowned Kinglets, a Northern Pygmy-Owl, 130 Sooty Fox Sparrows, 3+
White-throated Sparrows, 5 Orange-crowned Warblers, and best of all, a
beautiful TENNESSEE WARBLER foraging in dogwoods.
Given the time of year, we suspect this bird might just hang around for a
