Thanks for the input Mike.

The picture isn't very good, but I think we eliminated the black-bellied
because the tail isn't white. I'm a novice, and it's truly fun to learn all
of this stuff. I can't argue with all of the indicators you mentioned
though.

Which Plover at Ocean Shores

Tip and I took a picture of a Plover at Ocean Shores, and I was
hoping
it was an American Golden-plover since we don't have that one
listed.
However, after consulting my mentor, Charlie Sheard, and looking
at
several guide books, we've decided it must be a Pacific
Golden-plover.
We've seen these before while visiting the islands of Hawai'i. If
anyone
