I found an interesting item on the RSPB website on deterring squirrels from bird feeders.It seems chilli powder sprinkled over the seed and over suet feeders keeps them away with no effects on the birds.I must say I feel this to be true as I have been using chilli powder to get rid of moles and so far appears to be working.Birds still forage for food around the mole hills where I placed the powder so there must be some truth in it.I'm not sure on amounts of powder so it's still in trial and error phase so let's put it to the test.
