Today I followed up on reports of one of those 'rumoured' birds -- A
Blue Jay near LaConner. Sure enough, I had a great morning watching
this eastern visitor in a yard on Valentine Rd.

The hosts, Randy & Wendy, were gracious and open to more birders
coming by. Apparently , the Blue Jay has been present for about 6
weeks and viewed by many local birders. They were a bit worried about
a rush of visitors, so please be respectful and careful about
parking. There's a great spot to park down at the cemetery a quarter
mile or so north of their place.

The Blue Jay has been hanging out around 18391 Valentine Rd. Also in
the area were Eveninig Grosbeaks and Red Crossbills in good numbers
-- quite a nice place to spend a morning....
