Hello Tweets, Saturday a group of us from Tacoma decided to chase
Ancient Murrelets and YB Loon. The day was sunny with exceptional lighting,
with the sun at our backs all day. We arrived at the changing tide with numbers
of ancients, 2-300, flying in many small groups to as many as 30. Also large
numbers of P. Loons, 3 L.T. ducks, Harlequins, and about 50 Marbled Murrelets.

After meeting Bob Whitney, he advised us the YB usually shows on the out-going
tide between 1 and 4 pm. We took the noon hour to catch Hudson pt., 4 Oyster-
catchers, 2 Surfbirds and about 100 Blk. Turnstones.

Returning to the point, we waited patiently till about 2:45pm when the YB floated
past the point in about 5 minutes, allowing all great looks.

Thanks Bob for your hospitality and help in birding beautiful Pt. Townsend.
