I spent part of the weekend up in the Blaine area searching for LONG-TAILED
DUCKS to photograph. My search was rewarded at the Blaine marina where there
was a very handsome and cooperative drake (see pictures on my website - last
uploads). Also present were all three species of SCOTERS, BARROWS
GOLDE-EYES, a raft of GREATER SCAUP, hundreds (or thousands) of PINTAILS,
many other more common ducks, a small flock of BRANT, a lone HARLEQUIN hen,
several LESSER YELLOWLEGS and numerous other more common birds.

I want to thank all who gave me suggestions on where to locate long-tailed
ducks. Enjoy the pictures.

I am now on EIDER ALERT!
