Tweeters,

Tina and I went out on the Island Adventures Whale Watch Cruise out of the
Everett Marina on Saturday. We didn't see any whales; but the birding was
great. Their route goes from Everett south past Mukilteo to about Picnic
Point, then west rounding the end of Whidbey Island. They head northwest up
the west side of Whidbey Island past Bush Point before crossing the sound
into Jefferson county and turning south. They pull briefly into the Hood
Canal and then head southeast past Point No Point before returning to
Everett. The trip took about 6 hours. The boat was spotless and well
maintained. Their web site is at http://www.island-adventures.com

The focus is obviously on whales; but, it works well for birding. We saw 33
species between the four counties. The best bird was a late Parasitic
Jaeger well off Point No Point.

Enjoy,

Rick
