Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Wednesday November 26. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

The Peoria PYRRHULOXIA continues to be seen. On November 20 a
CHESTNUT-COLLARED LONGSPUR was seen along Livermore Road north of Baskett
Slough NWR. Two SHORT-EARED OWLS were also seen there that day. A juvenile
SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER is now being seen on the North Spit of Coos Bay
along with four NORTHERN SHRIKES.

Waterfowl are now arriving with many CANVASBACK and WHITE-FRONTED GEESE
being reported. Hawk are also arriving with ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS becoming
conspicuous. A GOLDEN EAGLE was spotted November 20 flying southward off
Boiler Bay.


On November 20 a RED PHALAROPE and 15 KITTIWAKES were on the beach at
Brookings. On November 22 a FRANKLIN?S GULL was at the Nehalem Sewage Ponds.
A ROCK SANDPIPER was on the rocks at Seaside Cove November 23.

On November 22 a BLACK-CHINNED HUMMINGBIRD was in Northwest Portland. A
WILSON?S WARBLER was in Portland?s Oaks Bottom November 24. A HARRIS?S
SPARROW is now visiting a Canby feeder.

On November 22 two SURF SCOTERS and 14 TUNDRA SWANS were at Hatfield Lake
near Bend.
