Hey tweets, I snuck out in the midst of turkey-roasting to take a quick look
at my favorite place on Earth, the Fill. I'm soooo glad I did. Out in the
deep water of the lake were two RED-NECKED GREBES diving for fish and
preening. They weren't bothered at all by the boats and shells going by. As
I watched them, a vee of Tundra Swans flew overhead, labored briefly above
me, and then headed south and west. I'm typing this on the way back to the
relatives' house, to study another, more edible bird. Isn't life great? -
