Hey all,

Had a pleasant if unsuccessful look for the Palm Warbler with a couple other birders this afternoon from about 3:30-4:00 at the Cedar River mouth. Lots of yellow-rumps, and the other birders saw at least one warbler that did not seem right. Goldeneyes and Buffleheads were on the river; Song and Golden-crowned sparrows were skulking in the bushes; Flying overhead we got a flock of peeps (sp??), numerous gulls, and a Peregrine Falcon!

As I left, other birders reported seeing the warbler on the fence abutting the Boeing property, so that should be an area to watch, along with the trees all along the river itself. Poor lighting and fast moving birds in the tops of the trees added to the fun!
