Hello Tweeters,
Late in the afternoon 3.10 PM,I relocated the bird I found on Friday late
afternoon,it was my last stop of the day on the South Side of Brady -loop
road on the huge Tree close to the Creek what runs all along the
marshes. This area had two or tree of this Red-shouldered Hawk,.The minute I
saw this Hawk,I was thinking of the other Red Shouldered Hawks got sighted
there.I think the last sighting was on 07-28-2001,this bird was in bright
breeding plumage.Since there where 2 other sightings on 03-03-2001 and
02-10-2001,this could be easy the same birds. It was dark when I left and was
the last bird I saw on Friday.I went back today to get a better look on this
Hawk,I drove least 4 times around Brady Loop Road,it was not to the
afternoon that he was perched at the same location, even so the lighting was
not perfect it rain all day I saw the long and dark tail which had narrow
pale bands,The breast was finely streaked,so this bird was a Juvenile.As I
getting out of my car,he flew again further away on the Creek.Earlier I
checked Schafer Boom Road out on a bridge there you can see quite way out on
the trees there on the edge. This bird flew again further out passed the
Building what is private ,No Trespassing.
