The Christmas Bird Count season is fast approaching. This year the
scheduling is a tad wonky, especially if you've been doing counts for
a thousand years like I have and have developed a pattern.

The first day of the count period is a Sunday, so if you're used to
doing back-to-back counts on the first weekend, or skip the one of those
two days, because doing two in a row is too much, check the calendar.
And please consider picking up another count on that first Sunday, if
you can. I doubt there are any CBC compilers who'd turn down the
additional help.

I have not had the time to consolidate calendars from Washington and
Oregon as I have done in past years, but I have included links to
schedules for both states at:
http://home.pacifier.com/~mpatters/cbc/cbc_WAOR_reg.html

As always, I ask that compilers and other interested folks check the
FAQ on review species and other supplemental materials at the above
site.
