Tweeters,

Tina and I decided to avoid the holiday traffic and bird close to home today. We were handsomely rewarded. I found a 1st year GLAUCOUS GULL at the Everett STP. It was in the gull mass on the treatment pool at edge of the parking lot. Later in the day, Tina spotted a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW in the shrubs at the intersection of Boe Road and Marine Drive.

We then moved up to Skagit county and found the two NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH behind the outhouses at the Fir Island Game Range Boat Launch. We spent about 30 minutes scanning a large flock of blackbirds at a dairy farm on Fir Island Road and pulled out a RUSTY BLACKBIRD.

It was a very good day.
