What Daniel left out was because of his find and persistent yelling a large group of us also enjoyed great views of the bird.

Thanks Daniel and Lydia!

Subject: [obol] WOOD SANDPIPER continues Fern Ridge but new location

Obol,
This evening Lydia Cruz and I were able to find the WOOD SANDPIPER at Fern Ridge Reservoir. The bird had moved to the next pond over, southwest of the viewing platform. From the platform walk south along the dike (past the original location) until you reach the end of the dike. Take a right (heading west) along the dike until you reach the first bend. There is a shallow circular area of water with some mudflats on the edge. The bird was here in the company of several yellowlegs of both species, dowtichers, and killdeer.
