The Skagit Wildlife Refuge was closed on Tuesday due to construction. No
one there to ask for more information, so I don't know when they will
reopen the area.
Also, the Stanwood Sewage Treatment Ponds are still open to the birding
public as long as you park outside the gate. Though this is due to
change when they put in an electronic gate. They are looking at the
possibility of allowing birders in, but nothing has been set yet.
If anyone has more information on either of these two updates please
pass them on to the group.
