Hi Everyone,

Along with the other reports about waterfowl movement, I had my first Greater White-fronted Geese fly over the house yesterday evening (heard only, it was after dark). Today, I found a group of at least 50 of the birds feeding in a newly seeded grassy area about a mile from the house. Last year, my logs show these geese flying over the house on October 1st - their internal clocks are pretty consistent.

Additionally, I had a surprising number of warblers actively feeding late this afternoon at Three Forks Natural Area where I primarily went to walk my dog and just do incidental birding. Warblers seen included one Black-throated Gray, two Orange-crowned and at least six Yellow-rumped seen in about a half hour of dog walking.
