Good Evening All,
I am new to the Seattle area as of earlier this summer and I am trying to
pin down favorite/productive birding locations in the vicinity. I am
originally from WV so the western birds are certainly helping out the life
list. I am hoping to get around to doing a big day out here within the next
year or two, which looking at the ABA records is long over due. I have been
spending most of my time to this point out at Mt. Rainier with a good bit of
success. A short hike last weekend produced Pine Grosbeak, Northern Goshawk,
Golden crowned Sparrow, etc. Considering the time of year I am thinking that
I need to be turning my eyes to the lower elevations however. Any and all
suggestions would be welcome as I have very little in the way of specifics
about good birding sites in this area. I have taken a look at several web
resources for birding in WA, however, I always find it most productive to
just ask those who are out birding.

Thanks in advance,

John Tharp
