Hello Tweeties!

Last spring, not long after I my husband and I moved to our new house on property with a small wetland I heard some very strange bird noises.

I described it as a "kathonk, kathonk, katonk" or something like that. Several of you suggested it might be an American Bittern. I accepted that ID. But now I must report the ID was ALL WRONG.

It's a crow! It is a semi-tame crow adopted by my animal and bird loving next door neighbor Cheryl. Cheryl's Crow is named KahKaahh! and I saw the bird bobbing and making the "kathonk" call this afternoon. Cheryl says the bird has been hanging around for over a year, so what I heard this past spring was indeed KahKaahh!

So I got fooled by a crow. I guess I'm not the only one.
