Howdy,
After dipping on the Rusty Blackbird at Wylie Road on Tuesday, Ryan Merrill's positive report from Wednesday left me a bit upset with myself and prodded me to try again today (10 Oct 2008). And yet again, I did not see it. I'll blame my birding partner for that -- 5-month-olds just don't have enough patience to pick through a flock of blackbirds. However, I did find two Yellow-headed Blackbirds and one Brown-headed Cowbird in the flock at the intersection of Wylie and Fir Island roads. At least four Pacific Golden-Plovers, ~20 Pectoral Sandpipers, and the Ruff were still present in the field southwest of this intersection as well.
