Dear Tweeters,

I stopped at Wolf Haven in Tenino this weekend to deliver some materials. Wolf Haven provides sanctuary for captive-born wolves.

The first thing that I noticed was all the ravens calling. I ended up going on one of their regularly scheduled tours. The guide said that there were no ravens in the area until the wolves came to the sanctuary. In the wild, ravens communicate with the wolves and let them know where to find prey in the hopes that they could then feed on the leftovers.

The guide also said that each day the ravens bring the wolves little gifts and trinkets that they drop into the enclosures. The first thing that the caretaker does each morning is to search the enclosures and remove any unacceptable gifts.
