Was able to check out Wylie Road near the Skagit Game Range on Fir Island today where I observed the RUFF, 4 PACIFIC GOLDEN PLOVERS, 1 AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER and at least 30 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS. Headed to the boat launch parking lot just down the road next and walked the 2+ mile loop along the dike. Best birds of the walk were 2 NORTHERN SHRIKES, and adult and a juv. Present in high numbers were SNIPE, P. FINCH, WAXWINGS, SONG SPARROWS. Thousands of SNOW GEESE and some G. W.-F. GEESE were present in the fields to the north. Also observed along the dike were 1 LINCOLN'S SPARROW, and several W.C. and G.C. SPARROWS. Good numbers of birds overall along the dike trail.

No luck however with relocating the N. WATERTHRUSH although it could still very likely be in the area.
