Monday night's swift count, mostly in the driving rain, was 51, but
during a lull a skein of 70 greater white-fronted geese flew over the
Wagner School heading south. A highlight of a wet night.

Here in some of the small ponds of Bothell, buffleheads are showing
up - a sure sign of coming winter.
