The owl was still at Meadows campground yesterday. I arrived at 12:30
and found the owl around 2:00 along the road between the campground
and the junction wit the Hart's Pass road. got good but distant views
with a scope before it flew towards the saddle ridge to the
southwest. there was an inch or two of snow on the campground, but
none on the road until you get past the campground going up to the
Pacific Crest Trail. higher elevations had about 4 inches.
