The following excerpt was taken from a reply by the observer of the possible
Brown Thrasher on 10/10.

We had just started on the 5 1/2 mile loop trail (I can't remember what it's
called). There was work being done in the area to remove some dikes and it
was just a short distance beyond where the work was. It wasn't far from the
visitor's center, as we had only been on the trail for perhaps 1/2 hour or
so. Hope this helps. It was a really beautiful bird and we were able to
observe it for several minutes before it disappeared into the brush. Hope
