It was all up in the mountains! I had a glorious blue sky hike up at Chinook
Pass, which was more about the hike than the birds (lucky, as there weren't
too many of those). Just the usual species around, with the biggest thing of
note being the enormous groups of gray jays - 20 or 30 birds hanging around
a couple of spots, eyeing up the hikers for a chance at lunch.



Otherwise, varied thrush, mountain chickadee, robins and ravens, and some
distant finch groups in flight I couldn't ID (though one was probably
siskins). A lone red-tailed hawk was the sole raptor representative.
Stunning scenery though!
