Last week I was hiking Summer Falls (central WA near Soap Lake area) and
spotted a large very pale red tailed hawk. As I watched with my binocs, a
raven or two came after it. What started out as an escort out of the area
eventually turned into more of a "playing" interaction as the hawk and a
raven traded not-so-serious dive bombs. This went on for at least 5 minutes,
and at very high elevations. Even birds can have a good time together.
