Are you sure it wasn't a Common Murre? They are being found on our coastal
waters right now.fairly "normal" for this time of year. If you go to
www.COASST.org <http://www.coasst.org/> you can read about the seabirds
and what is going on.

Subject: [Tweeters] DEAD BIRDS ON OREGON COAST BEACH

I am a fellow tweeter who was on the oregon coast last weekend and saw a
murrellet washed up on the beach dying, a woman passing by said it was
emaciated and it could not stand or even lift up its bill, and yet there was
no obvious injury to the bird. A couple told me that they also had seen
another further down the beach dead. I would like to know if anyone has any
info about why.
