Subject: [Tweeters] Another Scrub-Jay report, Queen Anne, Seattle

There is a noisy group of at least three Western Scrub-Jays at the top
of Queen Anne Hill, at 1st W and W Garfield. I first noticed them there
a couple of weeks ago, but I bet they've been around for awhile. The
scrub-jays (and an Anna's Hummingbird) responded enthusiastically to
pishing, which kind of freaked out some dog-walkers. Next time I walk
up that way, I'll look for oak trees. These are the first scrub-jays
I've seen on Queen Anne since three of them passed through my yard in
2001. What happens when the new scrub-jays meet up with the old
Steller's jays?
