Tweets - I followed up on a couple of messages sent out to the BirdKitt
group today, and was able to find 4 species of goose on Sorenson pond in
Ellensburg.

The pond is on Berry Rd., which runs just east of Canyon Rd. from just below
I-90 (exit 109) down to Tjossem Rd. There's a nice pond on the east side of
the road.

Since at least Friday, there have been over a dozen GREATER WHITE-FRONTED
GEESE in with the CANADAs. A lone SNOW GOOSE remains among them. I was
also able to note a handful of CACKLING GEESE on the water. On Ken
Knittle's scale, Cacker is a 3, Greater White-fronted is a 4, and Snow is a
5 for Kittitas County, so to get all three one one pond is a real treat.

On my way back, I did the Brick->Look->Hungry Junction->Reecer
Creek->Smithson zigzag heading northwest out of Ellensburg, and had several
dark morph RED-TAILED HAWKs and one possible "Krider's" Red-tail on Reecer
Creek Rd. It was very white on the underside, with an all-white tail (both
sides) and extensive white on the upper surface of the primaries. There was
only a hint of patagia. Also had one ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK.
