I had a conference in Halifax this past weekend so I took the opportunity to
do some photography by flying in 3 days early. I had hoped to find birds
that were not native to the west coast. As it turned out the birds were hard
to find and photograph and I ended up taking pictures of several that we
have here in Washington. It was still fun, however, and it gave me the
chance to play with my new 800mm Canon lens - the only "bird lens" I took
with me. Nova Scotia is gorgeous, especially now with the leaves all
changing colors. You can view some of the images in the Nova Scotia album on
my website. I still have more to add when time permits.

Now I need to catch up on what is happening bird-wise here at home!
