Thank you Larry for the clarification. I wonder if anyone has done any kind
of work on stop-over times of Vaux's Swift. 7-10 days seems reasonable... in
concordance with Chimney Swifts and many other small to medium sized long
distance migrants.

Interesting. So... if we take 210,000 total clicks at the motel, and
conservatively estimate an average 10d stay, that still give an impressive total of
21,000 birds over the fall. The actual total was probably somewhat larger.
Yikes!
