Tweeters,
I had a fun day of bird watching right in my own backyard. Here is the list:
RB nuthatch (several all day long)
housefinch (several male and female)
chickadee (BC and CB) mixed flock all day long)
junco ( flock of 20 or more)
song sparrow (2)
house sparrow (male and female 1 each)
Bewick wren (2)
northern flicker (2)
starling (only 1, thank God)
crow (3)
robin (1)
golden-crown kinglets (male and female 8 or more)
bushtits (way to numerous to count)
golden-crown sparrow (1 juvenile)
Townsend warbler (2)
ruby-crown kinglet (male and female, 2 each)
I got pictures of some of them. Renton is a great place for birding. I'm still waiting to see the Downy woodpeckers, red-breasted sapsuckers, and varied thrush. Has anyone in Renton seen them yet?
I love to share the world with birds and people who love birds.
Marie
