Sorry if this appears twice, but I couldn't get the first message to go.

Hi, Tweets! I'm excited, because I just saw a life bird on the buoys
behind Grand Coulee Dam: A Ross's Gull!. It was seen between noon and
12:30 today, Fri., Oct. 24th by Richard Hendrick and myself.

The bird looked so tiny sitting by a Ring-billed Gull. It has the bright
red legs, little tiny black bill, largish black eye with black smudge
behind the eye. The tail is all white, with plain gray wings. It still
has black wing-tips. No black smudge on the sides.

Also present was a Mew gull and several Herring gulls as well. Richard has
a camera and scope, but bird was too far away for a photo. We hope to see
it again tomorrow. Let me know if you see it. Drive safely. Meredith
