Hello Everyone,
My husband & I will be in the Seattle area during the first week of November
and are considering a trip up Paradise as far as the Visitors Center to look
for boreal species. My question is whether this is practical - is the road
open and passable in a rental car? Also, can we bird around the Visitors
Center or should we plan on hiking up the road - and how far up? We would
particularly like to see Clark's Nutcracker - but will also be happy with
whatever we see!
We will spend a couple days in Tacoma, a couple days in Port Angeles, and
then stay in downtown Seattle for a conference - any birding suggestions
from those areas will be greatly appreciated -and I would be happy to return
the favor for anyone planning a visit to eastern Mass.
Thanks and good birding,
Ann Gurka
