Hi Tweeters,
I struggled this morning with decisions. Get things done around the house,
catch up the checkbook, pay bills, do laundry or go birding........
Well, I did my chores and then shot out the door and up to Fir Island Game
preserve. It was already 1:30 and very quiet. I did not see or hear the
Northern Waterthrush but was treated to some great views of a Northern Shrike. I
watched it hawk a bug then land on a branch and swallow it down. Yummy! I also
sat out at the bench at the place where the drainage pipes are and enjoyed
watching 4 Wilson's Snipes flying around. There was a female Anna's
Hummingbird along the trail too. Even with out those highlights it was a great day to
be out enjoying the weather.
Next time, I will go birding first!!!! heck with the chores
