Hello...

Took a walk around the South (lower) Meadow south of the new Chambers Bay Golf Course (a.k.a. Ladenberg Links) this morning. In the grassy field south of the meadow were 6 meadowlarks harassing (and being harassed by) a kestrel. One of the meadowlarks perched on the fence and sang for a while.

Further north, at Titlow Park, the usual flock of about 40 American Wigeon have arrived, accompanied by a single Eurasian. This is probably the same individual that spent last winter at the ponds in the park. This is a good spot for those who want really close looks at this species.
