Seabird and Seaduck Declines in the Puget Sound

Of the 125 or so birds that depend upon the marine waters of the
Salish Sea, 24 are listed as threatened or endangered or are
candidates for listing. Marine birds are charismatic top-level
predators that tell us a lot about the health of the ecosystem. So
why are so few people aware of their declines? Joe Gaydos, Wildlife
Veterinarian and Regional Director of the SeaDoc Society will discuss
what we know and don?t know about marine bird declines in the region.

causes for declines and what people can to do help.
