Comcast was out so I walked to the Online Coffee Company on Capitol Hill. On the way there, I heard a rustle in the underbrush of a planting along the alley on Thomas between Boylston & Summit. It turned out to be a Varied Thrush! I was surprised to see the bird - there is neither nearby forest, nor much understory in the neighborhood (a few big trees, yes, but definitely not forest-like) and this is a forest understory bird. Either way, it was a very nice bird to see in my neighborhood. Cheers!
