Following up to the sighting of a Varied Thrush in a residential Cap Hill neighborhood--I saw one in close by Interlaken Park on Sunday afternoon, which is a much more likely habitat. Very happy to do so as I hadn't seen one there for at least two-three years.
I've also noticed some Steller Jays venturing a bit north of Interlaken this season, which is unusual.
Hmm, I wonder if there is something going on with food/habitat in the park which is nudging the birds out of their normal range a bit?
