I was able to get to the spot by Sprague lake recommended by Randy Hill just after noon today. After spending about an hour there, I was able to identify a single Lapland Longspur from a photo (lifer). Along with that, when I first drove up, there was a large falcon on the pole right at the water tank. It took off too far and fast for me to ID. That might explain why I did not see more Longspurs. Other species seen were Horned Larks (many), House finches (including one with some sort of tumor and a yellow form) and an American Pipit.

At Soap Lake east beach were 3 Pectoral Sandpipers, 4 Least Sandpipers, 8 Dunlin, 2 Flickers and a Sharp-Shinned Hawk.

On Hwy 17 south of Leahy Junction were 2 Rough-legged Hawks.
