A band of birders from Kittitas County are going down the Snoqualmie Valley & Smith Island and then up to Samish Island through the Skagit Flats, Fir Island and Stanwood area next weekend. This is only a 2 day trip with a lot of ground to cover, so I want to make the most of it. I am working off of Hal Opperman's A Birder's Guide to Washington and a bit of my own knowledge of the Snoqualmie Valley, but if any of you wouldn't mind sharing the current "Hot Spots" I would be most grateful.
Also - have the Peregrines that nest at the Snoqualmie Falls been sighted in the area recently?
